Development of the «ICONO» project
Together with Credit Suisse Asset Management (Schweiz) AG, Mettler Entwickler AG has developed building site 1 directly at the railway station in Olten.
In collaboration with the owner of the neighbouring plot, a study contract was carried out with six architectural firms on the basis of a design plan. The judging panel decided in favour of the study by the renowned architectural firm atelier ww Architekten from Zurich and recommends it for the further development of construction site 1.
A modern building complex with 155 rental apartments and retail space on the ground floor is coming to life. In addition, two floors are planned for office space. This high-rise project with a real recognition factor is set to make a valuable and sustainable contribution to the newly emerging «Areal Bahnhof Nord» district in Olten. The new residential and commercial building will form the gateway to the new district and become an important point of interest for the city of Olten.
