«Younic» residential and commercial development
Back in 2018, Mettler Entwickler AG acquired the property at Ringstrasse 18/Sonnentalstrasse 6 in Dübendorf’s up-and-coming Hochbord area.
In a coordinated call for proposals with the neighbouring LATO Real Estate AG plot and six architectural firms, a high-quality development project was designed. The aim was to find an outstanding urban planning and architectural solution for the entire site, including open space design and an underground car park.
The aim of the study contract was to create a sustainable site development plan for Mettler Entwickler AG that combines architecturally appealing residential buildings with office and commercial space that meets the needs of future residents. The team from SPPA-Architekten and Fischer Landschaftsarchitekten impressed the judging panel with their urban planning vision and the quality of their open space design. Their «Möbius» project was unanimously named the winning project and forms the basis for the indicative project and the private design planning on both plots.
Urban living space with quality of life
The first building, S4, was handed over in spring 2025, followed by building I1 in summer 2025 to UBS Fund Management AG.
These two buildings comprise 120 modern rental apartments that combine urban living space with high everyday practicality and a focus on quality of life.

Building R18
The striking R18 building was handed over to LATO Real Estate AG in the summer of 2025. The distinctive concrete façade gives the building a modern, urban look. It combines 12 stylish apartments with functional office and commercial space, creating a place where living and working blend harmoniously.
Thanks to its intelligent floor plan design, flexible usage options, and high-quality amenities, the building offers an attractive solution for companies and private individuals who value short distances and a high quality of life.
